Karen Rose McDowell

Karen Rose McDowell, 79, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October, 18, 1943 to the late Robert Brocker and Rose Marie Petersen. She was a proud Air Force wife for over 20 years. Karen was of the Lutheran faith, she attended Crossroads Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, playing with her great grandkids, and playing scrabble. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, and 1 sister. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John McDowell; children, Pamela McDowell, Tammy Eadens, Kimberly Parker, and Cody McDowell; grandchildren, Jennifer Eadens, Joshua Eadens, William Eadens, Marina McDowell, Ian McDowell, and Briar McDowell; great-grandchildren, Riley, Jazzlyn, Carson, Axel, Jaxson, Aiden, and Noah. There will be a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Terry Gamblin followed by burial.
