Juanita Joyce Becker Hicks

Juanita Joyce Hicks, 82, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at her home. She was born on March 15, 1929 in Evansville to Joseph and Nellie Becker. She graduated from Columbia Elementary and Central High School. Juanita loved gardening, working in the yard, cooking, baking, and dancing. She taught herself to play the organ. Juanita was a jokester and loved life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Irl Raymond Hicks. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Vicky Lynn Abbott of Beaufort, SC; and her dog, Midnight. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Tim Garrett with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Monday. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel.
