Joe “Pee Wee” grew up on the West Side of Evansville and graduated from Reitz High School. Following school, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving in the Vietnam War. Joe’s favorite places while serving were Hong Kong and France. He continued his work in Tool and Die after the military. Joe spent most of his life traveling and working in the racehorse industry. After retirement, Joe enjoyed hunting, restoring old cars, woodworking and leatherworking. He also liked watching car racing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Knight; mother, Ann; step-mother, Margaret; sisters, JoAnn and Peggy; son, Christopher; grandson, Christian; brothers, James and Tracy; uncle, Buddy; and brother-in-law, Frank.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Christy Ann Diehl; son, JC Knight; grandchildren, Hannah Knight, Hailey, AJ, Kiersten McMahon, Kandis, Kaydrien, MeiLynn and Marjorie; sisters, Linda Cottrell, Margaret “Boodle” Kneer (Terry), Darlene Howell, Pam Montgomery (Tony), and Mary Jo Frankenberger (Paul); brother, Scott Knight; and several great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Terry Gamblin.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
