One of John's great loves was his career as an Air Traffic Controller. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, boating, woodworking, aviation, flying and loved Purdue. John lived a full and meaningful life and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was blessed with such an enormous and loving personality and everyone that knew him was instantly drawn to him.
He is preceded in death by his father.
John is survived by his mother, Wanda Lucille Koch, of Evansville, IN; sons, John FW Koch III, of Falls Church, VA (Lydia Ogembo, of Nairobi, Kenya), Ryan Koch (Lauren), of Grand Rapids, OH; daughter, Jennifer Koch, of San Diego, CA; grandkids, Ryan, Daniel, Olivia, and Lucas Koch; sister, Amy Badger; Half-sisters and brother, Carrie Offerman Berry (Jim), of Boonville, IN, Linda Offerman Stone (Eddie), of Henderson, KY, Charles Offerman (Karla), of Evansville, IN; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Chad Eckles, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends visited from11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home on Monday.
