John O'Neal Hatfield

John was the former owner of Walt’s Towing, later known as John’s Towing. He was known for his love of Nascar, Harley’s, pretty women and partying. John was also an avid grill master. He loved his work.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnie Allen Hatfield; and grandson, Nicholas Hatfield.

John is survived by the mother of his children, Jacqueline K. Evans; his son, Jack Hatfield (Summer); granddaughter, Elizabeth Hatfield; grandsons, Blaine Hatfield, Triston Hatfield, Kylan Hatfield, Leighton Hatfield, and Corey Hatfield; brother, Walter Owen Hatfield (Ann); sister, Sondra "Marie" Franklin (Jhan); step-mother, Pauline Hatfield; step-sister, Kim DeWitt (Paul); several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Don Finney.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel. 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Stephen Russ.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
