Jerry Morris Davis, 86, of Evansville, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020. Jerry was born in Puxico, Missouri on October 4, 1934 to the late Elmo M. Davis and Helen M. (Edwards) Davis Hull.
Jerry was an ironworker, working the high beams on bridges, power plants, and even Disney World. He retired in 1988, but Jerry wasn’t ready to completely retire. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree in business from Ivy Tech College and accepted a position at TJ Maxx, becoming a foreman and union steward. Jerry loved to fish, and even tried his hand at fly fishing in his later years. As a Christian, Jerry attended church services with Alma until she became too ill to attend, but he read his Bible faithfully and loved the Lord.
Jerry is survived by his son, Christopher M. Davis of Evansville, his daughters, Terrie L. Kenoyer (Michael) of Townville, South Carolina; Julia M. Alldredge (Daniel) of Evansville, Sandra D. Wenderoth (Kent) of Wadesville; siblings, Darlene Reisner (Douglas) of Yakima, Washington, Michael Hull (Paula) of Mary Esther, Florida, Marilyn Durst of Branson, Missouri, Ann Liles of Arkansas, Debbie Hall of Arkansas, and Nancy Serpico of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Alma, of 65 years; parents; stepfather, Louis Hull; brother, Roland Davis; step-brother, Jimmy Hull; brother, Elmo Davis, Jr; and sister, Thresia Picanco.
