Jean was a hardworker and had several jobs. She worked at Aramark, owned a baby shop, and a cleaning business (Econo Clean.) Her pride and joy was maintaining her yard with planting flowers. Bingo became her favorite past time later in life. She walked in the Evansville half marathon. She was a collector of porcelain dolls, Disney movies, and beanie babies just to name a few. She loved to shop, turning over tags, as her husband would state.
She was given the nickname, "Queen Jean" as a little girl, that stuck with her for life.
She was preceded in death by sons, Mark Boatman, Joe Boatman; siblings, Elva Henry, Raymond Knarian, Elbert Knarian, Albert Knarian, and William Knarian.
Jean is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Morell; children, Vanessa Boatman, Karen Boatman, Mike Boatman, Angie Elrod (Charlie), Alex Morell; daughter-in-law, Sandra Boatman; siblings, Milton Knarian, Camella Scott; 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jean's family to go toward burial expenses.
A funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 officiated by Reverend Brenda Steproe, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, Indiana followed by burial at Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
