Gerald “Jerry” Wiegand, 90, of Waco, Texas passed away August 18, 2021. Jerry had moved from Evansville, Indiana on June 2, 2021 to Whitney, Texas to be with his son, Stanley “Stan” Wiegand. He was born in Evansville, IN on November 11, 1930 to the late CJ and Clara A. Wiegand.
Jerry was a graduate of Bosse High School. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Evansville Sheet Metal Works. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He lived an active life as he was still able to travel up until his death. Jerry was an Evansville Shriner (Drum and Bugle Corps), and played the Glock (Bells).
He was preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Doris E. Wiegand on November 1, 2019; daughter, Laura B. Wiegand Brown on March 6, 2018; brother, Ronald L. Wiegand.
Jerry is survived by his son, Stanley John Wiegand Cenobio of Whitney, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi Harris (Jeremy), and Noah Brown; great grandchildren, Cameron, Raelyn, and Alyssa.
