Douglas Floyd Richter

Douglas F Richter 69, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020. He was born in Evansville, IN on April 28, 1950 to Gilmore and Norma Richter. Doug is a retired Electrician and has been a member of the IBEW Local 16 for over 40 years. He was a wonderful father, papa, brother and friend. Doug loved the outdoors whether he was hunting, working outside or just taking a ride with his dear dog Jo. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cheering on all his grandkids at their sporting events. On Thursdays, he had his night out with his poker buddies and he always looked forward to his summer golf trips. Doug will be truly missed by so many and we are so grateful for all the wonderful memories we have. He is living the high life now and will forever be in hearts. He is survived by his daughter Nicole Herdes (Richter) Kevin; son, JT (Jim Taylor); 6 Grandchildren, Hunter, Ryan, Ben, Blake, Brooke and Baylor. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Alexander West Chapel, for Friends of Doug, the Herdes, and the Taylors.
