Dortha M. Pemberton

Dortha M. Pemberton, 100, of Evansville, IN passed away on December 5, 2021 at Bethel Manor. She was born on February 3, 1921 in Olmsted, IL. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and a good Christian woman. Dortha was a devoted Bible reader and enjoyed sewing quilts. Baking and making delicious taffy candy were some of her favorite pastimes. Dortha is survived by her children, Alice (Rick) Johnson, Vaughn (Gloria) Pemberton; brother, George Henson; 7 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry L. Pemberton; parents John M. Henson and Gertrude (Hayes) Gambrel; son, Leo Pemberton; 2 sisters, and 1 brother. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Robert Lloyd with Entombment to follow in Alexander Memorial Park.
