 Obituario de Daniel C. Wiener
Daniel Christopher Wiener (Dan, Danny) of Evansville, IN passed away on March 9, 2022 at the age of 73. He was born on November 3, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1967. He worked many years as a grain merchandiser which led to a move to Indiana. He left the business and pursued a career as a Realtor for Gammon Realty until retirement. He was actively involved in guitar groups, working at bingos, assisting the elderly with rides or anything else he could do for the churches he attended over the years. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jacob & Rosella (Cummins) Wiener. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Wiener (Wissell); Children, Christine Morgan-Girten (Kristin), Kevin Wiener (Jen), Melissa Bayer (Steven), Joseph Wiener (Lindsay); grandchildren, Eryn, Sydney Rose, Melody, Hannah, Aiden, Elin and Fredrionna; brother, Jake Wiener; as well as many nieces, nephews; and granddogs, Cooper & Toby. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was always there to support them and looked forward to their many events. He loved to share many of his favorite things, such as, music, sports, the outdoors and just his love for life in general. He had a love for playing, watching and coaching sports. He was a loyal fan of his Reds & Bengals, as well as Xavier & UK basketball. He was gentle, kind and never met a stranger. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Some favorite memories were his love for music, the way he could play a guitar, and bring friends and family together at parties through music. His talent was passed on to his children & grandchildren, who have a great talent in all things music. Nothing was ever mundane with him. Every day with him was always an enjoyable adventure full of positivity and silver linings. The family would like to thank all of our family & friends and the medical staff at Vanderbilt and Deaconess Gateway for the care and compassion they showed Dan throughout this journey. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Alexander Funeral Home – East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:00am.
