Dale Leigh “DC” Crossfield, 57, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown. He was born on February 3, 1964 in Champaign, IL to the late Leslie Wayne Sr. and Mary Lynn Crossfield.
He graduated from Harrison High School where he was active in football and baseball. Dale then graduated from USI in 1986 where he focused on baseball. After college, Dale began playing on a farm team for the Cincinnati Reds before an injury ended his career. Dale could always talk a good game, and played one too! He had been inducted into the Evansville football and baseball hall of fame. Dale worked for Toyota Manufacturing for 18 years.
He is survived by his brother, Les Crossfield (Christine); niece, Cheryl Dick; nephew, Kyle Crossfield; great nephews, Alexander Boudreau and Keegan Crossfield; and great nieces, Sadie and McKenzie Crossfield.
He will be greeted by his four legged loves, Bo, Sammie, Tanner Nicholas, Trixie and Izzy.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St. Private services will be held.
Dale gave the gift of life by being an organ donor. He will live on in the lives of others.
