She graduated from Bosse High School in 1974. She worked for Welborn Hospital in the business office for 24 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and UK’s #1 Fan. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. She loved animals also. She fought a hard courageous fight against cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Eldon Knight; her grandmother, Margaret Minnie Vanell; her aunt, Marilyn Burdick and her son, Christopher Michael.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Pirtle Droege (Adam); her granddaughter, Katelyn Ann; her lifelong companion, John Franklin; mother, Catherine Knight Benefiel (Bill); brother, Michael Knight (Sheryle); sister, Debra De’Muth (Eric); cousin, Becky Burdick, who was also her best friend forever; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit, Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 4:00PM until service time at Alexander North Chapel. Services will be 7:00PM, Thursday, at the funeral home.
