Anne "Shirley" Mochau

Anne Shirley Carrow Mochau was born October 27, 1935 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Everett and Irene Vidal Carrow. The eldest of four children. Anne was raised in Lanesborough, MA. She graduated from the former Saint Joseph High School of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, Connecticut. After she married Alfred Mochau, Jr., Anne and Al travelled throughout the country with his position at General Electric, living in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, California, Tennessee and Arkansas. They had two sons, Alfred Mochau III and Geoffrey Scott Mochau. After Al passed away, Anne retired from nursing to live in Evansville, Indiana where her sons and their families were located. Mrs. Mochau is survived by her sons; Geoffrey (Cheryl), Alfred (Valerie); her grandchildren, Christine Mochau, Lauren Grady (Taylor), Jonathan Mochau (Katelyn) and Nicholas Mochau; two great grandchildren, Lilly and Jack Mochau; sister, Mary Ellen Donna of Lanesborough, MA; brother-in-law, John C. Donna; nephew, John E. Donna; nieces, Susan Fortin and Elizabeth Donna; sisters-in-law, Miriam Carrow and Virginia Carrow; and many nieces and nephews throughout the country. Anne was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers, John Carrow of South Carolina and Charles Carrow of Connecticut. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Deacon Mark McDonald.
