Andrew was born on December 19, 1990 to Jerry Lane Akin and Kimberly Jane (Koch) Akin in Evansville, IN. He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, where he was baptized and confirmed. He graduated from Evansville North High School in 2009 where he was a member of both the baseball and cross-country teams. Andrew was truly one of a kind and was widely known as “Gator” to many.
