Mason was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked for the Carrier Corporation for 32 years. After retirement, he started working with his nephew, drilling water wells. Upon moving to Evansville, he began woodcrafts. On weekends he sold his wares at the Flea Market on Diamond Avenue, being known as the “Birdman” because of his bird houses. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and hunting.
Albert is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jeanne (Hillenbrand) Mason; daughter, Karla Bradley; son, Daniel Barton (Cary); grandchildren, Allesha, Lacey, Trevor, Dalan, Dilyne, and Mason; two great grandchildren, Oliver and Serae; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bobby Pell, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
