BEAVERS, Maxine Elizabeth, 96 of Englewood, was called home to the Lord, Friday August 17, 2018 at Pristine Senior Living. She was preceded in death by her parents William T. and Annie E. (nee McClelland) Roberts of Brazil, IN, four brothers Earl & William of Indianapolis, IN, Maurice of Terre Haute, IN & her twin brother Max of FL, sister Ruth Jackson of NY, her first husband of 38 ½ years George Francis Breler and her 2nd husband of 14 years Marvin Beavers, brother-in-law and wife Marion & Mary Loretta Beavers, sister-in-law Rosemary Bell . Maxine graduated from Greencastle High School, Greencastle, IN. She went to work at the Indiana State House, Indianapolis as key punch operator in the license bureau. She went to visit her sister Ruth in Staten Island, NY and it was here that she met and fell in love with her future husband George Francis Breler. They were married October 23, 1943 and lived in Staten Island before moving to Elizabeth, NJ. Maxine worked for McDonald’s in Rahway, NJ in the payroll office for Rahway and New York. George worked for Girth Cox in NY until they closed. After this, they moved to Newport News, VA where he worked in the Newport News Shipyard and Maxine worked for the Carpenters Local Union #396 as secretary for 12 years. She retired in 1983 and moved to Englewood, OH to be closer to her family after George’s death in 1981. In 1983 she met and married Rev. Marvin E. Beavers. They enjoyed 14 wonderful years together until Marvin’s death in December of 2007. Maxine leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law George William and Mary Breler of Omaha, NE, daughter Linda Marie Breler of Verona, NJ. Also surviving are step-children Marilyn (Terry) Wilson of Dublin, OH, Ron (Eve) Beavers of Englewood, Ohio, Chrystal and Bobby Burris, 8 step-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends. She was member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Dayton, OH. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road. Private family committal services will be held at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville with Pastor Barbara Wiechel presiding.
