Grace Chaney, 95 of Englewood, passed away at Hospice of Dayton at 5:15 am on Thursday, January 31, 2018. Born August 1, 1922 Bootle, Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Spedding) Wynne. She was preceded in death by her parents, a twin sister, Gladys Wynne and her loving husband of 49 years, Willard Chaney. She is survived and will be missed by a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Francis) Fellows of Arizona, her loving children, Gladys Staley, Susan Hamilton, Joseph (Joy) Chaney, Dodie (David) Spurlock and Patty (Ron) Boeckman, all from the Dayton area. She was blessed with, and loved, her nine grandchildren (Patty, Tim, Tammy, Randy, Paula, Jeremy, Jessica, Christopher and Courtney); fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Grace also enjoyed the love of many extended family, ‘adopted nieces and nephews’, and friends too numerous to mention. ‘Amazing’ Grace loved her family, loved to fish, was very active all her life and was an avid reader. Her loved ones find comfort in knowing that Grace is not only in the arms of our Lord, but back in the arms of her husband Willard. Visitation will be held Sunday February 4, 2018, from 12PM to 2PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, 675 W Wenger Rd, Englewood, OH 45322. Service will follow immediately after the visitation at 2PM. Burial and graveside services will be on February 5 at 11AM at GLEN HAVEN MEMORIAL GARDENS, 8200 WEST NATIONAL ROAD, NEW CARLISLE, OH 45344. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
