John Angelo Gregory, age 86, of Englewood, FL passed away serenely at home in the closeness of cherished family members. Originally from Agawam, MA, John was a lover of good food and old westerns. John was a hard worker his entire life, who supported his family working construction in Connecticut and Massachusetts in his younger days and then in Florida, after moving his family to a warmer way of life. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed teasing friends and family members who stopped by for a visit.
Born to the late Eugene and Caroline Gregory, he was survived less than 24 hours by his wife Carolyn Ann Gregory. He is preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Gregory and brother Peter Gregory. He is survived by many loving family members including his children Jean Mlinek, John Gregory, Christa Bigness, Michele Hellyar, Jill Gregory and Mari-Beth Gregory, grandchildren Katlin Swanson, Kara Blanco, Teri-Lyn Horn, Carli Jean Tefft, and Michael Mlinek, and his first precious great granddaughter Hadleigh Swanson. Brother Eugene Gregory, sister Gloria Gregory, sister Theresa Gregory, many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
He will be brought to his final resting place in the rosary garden at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, following the 8:30 am morning mass on Tuesday, March 5th.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Tidewell Hospice in his name, as his peaceful passing was made possible through them.
