Charles Wayne Hibbs, 77, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away on 12/03/2020 in Venice Florida after a recent illness and hospitalization. He was born in Nebo, Kentucky to Gertie and Claude Hibbs on 12/10/1942. He was a graduate of the Nebo High School. He worked for CSX railroad as a freight agent for 40 years prior to retiring and moving to Florida. He was a member of the Life Christian Center Church in Madisonville, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Hibbs of Arcadia, Florida, son, Michael D. Hibbs of Englewood Florida, brother, James Hibbs of Nebo, nieces, Jan Allen of Madisonville, Joyce Riggs of Madisonville, Jeanetta Alexander of Clarksville, Tennessee, and cousins, JD Hill of Madisonville, and Mary Agnes Parker of Madisonville. He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Gertie Hibbs, his brother the Reverend RE Hibbs, sister-in-law’s, Nettie Hibbs, and Lela Hibbs, and niece Judy Hibbs.
He will be entombed at the Odd Fellow’s Cemetery, arrangements to be handled by Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood, Florida. Memorial services to be arranged at a later date.
