Life is sustained by a silver cord

That leads from God to man

It is strengthened to us

by His holy word

And the care sent to us

by His hand.

Someday our silver cord

must break

In this world we'll no longer be

Then our soul it's important journey will make

It's way to God and

forever be free.

So live each day by the silver cord

Keep prepared for the lovely day

When He will come

according to His word

And we shall be with Him always.
