Robert Edward Sievers, Sr.

He was born in Chicago Heights IL to the late Henry and Ruth (Short) Sievers. He grew up in Van Wert OH and Asheville NC. He moved to MD where he drove a tractor trailer and then was a Cornwell tool salesman for 35 years. He was a long time member of the Moose and Elks in Glen Burnie MD. He retired to Okeechobee FL where he joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

He is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia Bedell Sievers, his daughters Linda O’Boyle (Joseph) of Pasadena MD and Jeannette Downes (Robert) of Traverse City MI, stepson Mark Bedell (Karen) of Joppatowne MD and step-daughter Tammy Johnson (Aaron) of Lehigh Acres FL, grandchildren Terri Daubert, Sandy Robinson, Nathan Wildman, Chloe Wildman, Garrick Sievers and step-grandson Brendan Mulcahy and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Sievers and son Robert Edward Sievers, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD, on Friday, July 6, from 3-5 and 7-9, where funeral services will be begin at 10 AM on Saturday, July 7th, interment immediately following in Meadowridge Memorial Park.

A memorial service is being planned for late fall in Okeechobee FL.
