John Thomas Wilson, Jr. age 74, of Elkridge, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Loving husband of Relda Wilson. Beloved father of Theresa Lynn Shoemaker, Charles Richard Turner Jr., Regina Groh, Shannon Willis, Crystal Wilson, and Shree L. Carter; brother of Robert Wilson and William “Bill” Wilson. John is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
John loved taking trips to the casino and he enjoyed fishing and being a computer DJ. His favorite holiday was Halloween.
John was a proud Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War as a medic in the Army and then later served as a Quartermaster for the Coast Guard.
John also enjoying going to Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland to act as a standardized patient. He would act as a patient to assist the nursing staff with their training of diagnosing patients.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 10:00am until the start of A Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 12:00pm with interment to follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Glen Burnie.
