Joanne Margaret Neubauer

Joanne Margaret Neubauer a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 25, 2023, in Columbia, MD. Born on January 29, 1940, in Baltimore, MD she was 83 years old. Joanne’s life was characterized by her love for her family, her faith, and her creativity, and she left a lasting impact on those she met.

Joanne was the cherished daughter of the late Peter P. Reichardt and Susanna Mae (McCoy) Reichardt and wife of late William J. Neubauer. Their union was blessed with two sons and two daughters, William J. Neubauer, Jr. (wife Linda), James E. Neubauer (wife Donna), Christine (partner Anthony) and Susan Croly (husband Dean). One of Joanne’s greatest joys was being a grandmother to her grandchildren, Christopher, William III, Chelsea, Seth, Morgan, Shelby and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother William Peter Reichardt.

After raising her children, Joanne brought fun and laughter through her dancing and was able to start her own business. She then went back to school and worked for the Social Security Administration until she retired.

Joanne was a loving and spiritual woman. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her friends and later her assisted living neighbors. Her family was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and resilience. Joanne’s passing is a loss to her family and friends that she loved. However, her legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched and the memories she leaves behind. She will be remembered as a beacon of love and kindness.
