Elaine Arlean Mazzatenta, age 98, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024; She was born on April 10, 1926 in Pennsylvania to parents, Marvin E. and Eva V. Hower; Beloved wife of the late Vincent C. Mazzatenta; Loving mother of Sharon L. Ward, Keith W. Mazzatenta and wife Julie, Sheila D. Mazzatenta, Shirley D. Anthony and the late Sandy Raber; Cherished grandmother of Jason C. Ward (Anna), Heather M. Smith (Justin), Christina Peterson, Kerri L. Gage, Candice M. Schroeder (J.J.), James K. Gage (Vanessa), and Brandon V. Mazzatenta; Great-grandmother of ten and preceded in death by one great-grandson; Dear sister of the late Martha Mae Tice.
Elaine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid crocheter and embroiderer, she created countless beautiful blankets that will be cherished by her family for years to come. She had a special fondness for watching NASCAR races, always cheering enthusiastically for her favorite drivers, and was a dedicated fan of the Baltimore Orioles, lighting up every game with her spirited support.
Her love for knowledge was evident in her daily routine, as she rarely missed an episode of Jeopardy, relishing the challenge of answering trivia questions alongside her family.
Above all, Elaine cherished her time spent with loved ones. Her family was her greatest joy, and she created countless memories filled with laughter and love. Her faith guided her life and brought her comfort, strengthening her bonds with those around her.
Elaine also had a unique collection of bells and spoons, each piece telling a story and reflecting her appreciation for the beauty in life's little things.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Visitation for Elaine will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075., where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, 11:00 AM; Burial Meadowridge Memorial Park.
