CATHERINE ANN CARPENTER
March 15, 1935-February 5, 2022
Catherine Ann Carpenter passed on peacefully February 5, 2022. She was born on
March 15, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was one beautiful butterfly in life out of
14 siblings. The caring staff at her home in Florida named her the “Queen” Butterfly.
Her kind gentle soul will be spreading her butterfly angel wings among us all.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Virginia Collison,
her loving husband of (55) yrs. Hurley Clay Carpenter Jr.,
(5) Sisters Mary, Margaret, Nellie, Bea, Grace and (3) brothers James, Robert, Harold,
She is survived by (2) sisters Jenny, Joyce, (3) brothers James, Dave, Lynn.
(3) Caring and loving children, Gary Wayne Carpenter (Denise),
Gail Sharlene Post (Pete) and Lisa Gay Scalio (Michael Sr), devoted Grandmother
to (8) Grandchildren Heather Miller (Justin), Kimberley Watson (Joseph Jr), Dana
Layou (Thom), Michael Scalio Jr, Justin Scalio (Natalie), Matthew Post (Jessica),
Tyler, Kyle and (13) Great-Grandchildren, Siena, Cole, Greyson, Joseph III, Quinn,
Charlotte, Mackenzie, Cooper, Walker, Logan, Piper, James and Abby.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home,
Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd. Elkridge, Maryland 21075
viewing 10 am -12 pm, funeral service and Interment service to follow from 12 pm -1 pm.
Luncheon will be served concluding the interment service.
