Carol Ann was a committed and devoted servant at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Laurel, MD as a lifelong member and as an administrative assistant. She also was a training specialist with the Department of Human Resources, State of Maryland and retired in 1993 after 17 years.
Carol Ann was born on May 11, 1937 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the late Carl Snyder and Catherine Haldeman Snyder. She spent her formative and young adult years in Essex, Maryland. She graduated from Kenwood High School in 1955 and achieved an AA degree at Towson State Teacher's College. She raised her four children in Maryland: Essex, Dublin (in Harford County), and Laurel.
Carol Ann had many loves in her life and so many truly loved her. It was a dream come true to her when she got to move to Harford County. This is where she had her first ever vegetable garden and where she had many beloved pets, including cats (her favorite!), a dog, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, and turtles. She also loved the ocean and the bay. She was the proud owner of an impressive teapot collection. Musical theatre played a huge role in her life and she loved nothing better than seeing a show at Toby's Dinner Theater in Columbia with friends and family. She saw several plays on Broadway in New York City and treated her children and grandchildren to seeing shows. A list of Carol Ann's loves would not be complete without a mention of FOOD! She was a marvelous cook and enjoyed hosting get togethers, bringing her gift of hospitality to many. Her favorite cooking occasion was Thanksgiving, which she hosted for many years, making cherished memories for her family and friends. Her stuffing couldn't be beat. Another of her greatest loves was her church and church family at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Laurel, Maryland.
