Bernard Valentine Spencer Sr., age 96, of Linthicum Heights, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Bernard was born in Maryland to his parents, the late William and Elizabeth Spencer. Bernard was the beloved husband of 73 years to Elizabeth R. Spencer (nee Romey) and the devoted father of Bernie Spencer, Jr., Bill Spencer (Cheryl), Beth Spencer, Barbara Kelm (Paul), Bernadette Rollins (Kevin) and Brenda Cookson (Lee); Cherished Pop Pop to 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Bernard was predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth Spencer (nee Helmstetter) and 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on August 1, 2023 at 1:00pm. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
