Charlie A. Starr

Charlie grew up in the Philadelphia area and moved to Livonia in 1969. He was a longtime member of St Collette’s Catholic Church in Livonia where he served as a Eucharistic minister, lector and sacristan. Charlie moved to Elk Rapids in 2004 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids.

Charlie is survived by 5 children, Charles Jr.(Julie) of Surprise, AZ, John (Debra) of Bolivia NC, Thomas(Judy) of Novi, MI. Robert(Marti) of Northville MI and Anne Starr of Williamsburg, MI; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.

Preceding Charlie in death is one grandson, and siblings, John, Margaret and Priscilla.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, March 8 from 6 to 7 PM with a Vigil for the Deceased at 7PM. A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 9 at 11 am, with Rev. Robert J. Zuchowski officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
