She is survived by her daughter, Carol (David) Hayden Reed, daughter-in-law, Teresa Green Hayden, granddaughter Erika (Jamie) Watkins, granddaughter Jessica (Jordan) Weaver, and three great grandchildren, Emma Watkins, Jenna Watkins and Hayden Weaver. She is survived by eleven loving nieces and nephews who made frequent visits and phone calls to stay in touch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Hayden Jr., and son, Paul E. Hayden. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Merritt and Helen (Boyd) Kerrick, brothers, sisters, and their spouses: Merritt (Thelma) Kerrick, Paul (Mayme) Kerrick, Helen (Galon) Ashlock, Ruth( Damon) Kinser, Clara (Harry) Davis, Aline Bewley, and Lucy Kerrick. Her sister, Gladys, died at age 8, and a brother, Harold, died at 18 months.
Mary Allice was born on September 12, 1929, at 604 N. Main Street, now the home of the United Way of Central Kentucky. She is a 1947 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She was a retired Deputy Clerk at Hardin County District Court. She was a lifelong member of First Christian church, where she and her husband worked with the youth during the Sunday night Christian Training Hour.
Pallbearers: David R. Reed, Jamie Watkins, Jordan Weaver, Tom Kerrick, Steve Kerrick, and Wyatt Miller.
The funeral will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at First Christian Church with Pastor Chris Kiger officiating.
Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at First Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the White Mills Christian Church Building Fund, or First Christian Church.
