Dorothy Powell

She was a native of Danville and was a homemaker. She loved to quilt, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Powell; and her parents, R.D. and Pearl Hill.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Jean) Powell of Elizabethtown, Rodney "Butch" (Sandy) Powell of Sonora, and Kathy (Steve) Wortham of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Ronda (Mike) Mays, Gary (Ginny) Powell, Jr., Sondra Powell, Jason (Rachelle) Powell, David (Jenny) Wortham, and Emily Wortham; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral is Wednesday at 12 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bro. Chris Kiger officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday and continues until the time of the service.
