Virginia Barrington Dean passed away peacefully on January 8, 2018 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Dean Sr. her beloved grandparents: Travis and Fannie, her parents: Irvin and Fay and her brother, Irvin (Carol).
She will be dearly missed by her three sons; Clinton Jr. (Karon) of El Paso, Michael (Lorna) of Ft. Worth and Robert (Beverly) of San Antonio. Virginia moved to El Paso in 1945 where she attended Austin High School and Texas College of Mines. After meeting Clinton Sr. from the rival El Paso High School, they later married and she gained an enviable reputation for loving and caring for her family.
She participated in many civic and social organizations over the years and was a lifetime member of the Methodist church. Special friends such as Pat Lowenfield, Nita Kerr and Mary Carolyn DeGroat of El Paso served to enhance her life with joy and laughter. Above all, however, Virginia was a devoted, loving wife and supportive partner to her husband Clinton, to whom she was married for 65 years.
Thanks and gratitude to Virginia’s wonderful caregivers for many years…Patti and Suzanna, the Monte Vista Skilled Nursing area. To Hospice of El Paso, Center for Compassionate Care-West…Sophia, Ron, Valenti, Andrea, Manny and Dr. Barbara Reeves, and to Edward Lujan at Martin West for his caring service to the Dean family.
