Velia Duran Barraza, beloved mother, grandmother and sibling, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. While we are saddened to lose such a wonderful person, we will always cherish the joyful memories and time spent with Velia. She was faithful and supportive to those around her in the best and worst of times. She is preceded in death by her spouse Fernando Barraza and survived by her children: sons, Fernando Barraza (Lily), Daniel Barraza and daughter Thelma Nuñez (Sam); grandson, René Barraza; granddaughters, Christina Barraza, Ericka Diaz, Karla Diaz and Gabriela Diaz brother-in-law; Richard Barraza (Yolanda).
The Barraza Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 5:00- 9:00 PM with recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. in the Chapel of Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Serving as pallbears will be Sam Nuñez, Richard Barraza, Rick Barraza, Lorenzo Almanza, Tony Ochoa, and Jose Luis Duran.
