Rosalie Vasquez Neal, 90, transitioned peacefully Thursday, July 13, 2023, in El Paso Texas. Rosalie was born and raised in El Paso. She was an accountant for Continental National Bank and a seamstress. She spent many years making wedding dresses, cheerleading uniforms, and clothes for her loved ones. She also gave the love of music to all her children providing music lessons and transportation to many events. She was devoted to sharing her talents with her children and took the time to support all of us. She was a truly remarkable, strong, loving, talented and giving person.
Rosalie was predeceased by her parents, Rosalia Antonia and Higinio G. Vasquez, her daughter Carol Yvonne Butler, and her son Paul Joseph Butler. She is survived by her siblings, Maria Teresa Vasquez, Eugene Vasquez, Connie Anchondo, and Robert Vasquez; her husband of 52 years Solon Neal Jr; her children, Richard Glen Butler, Cathey Lynn Serrano, Michael Solon Neal; her grandchildren Mark Armendariz Jr., Stephanie Chinn, Stephen Serrano, Aaron Serrano, Cassandra Butler Braun; 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass will be held on Friday August 11, 2023, at 9:30 am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church at 8011 Williamette Ave, with a procession to follow to Ft. Bliss National Cemetery where her ashes will be laid to rest.
