You never think that your baby sister will pass before you. Even though there were 4 years between Rosalie and I, as youngsters we were always ready for adventure. Our backyard, the streets of Brooklyn and Cedar Grove Beach were our playgrounds.  We went to school, attended  Mass, and sang in the choir together, growing up together.
Our father passed  when Rosalie was 13.  Shortly after, she became seriously ill which affected her physically for the rest of her life.  With determination and strength of spirit, she graduated from high school and business school with honors, attaining the personal assistant to the president of a Wall Street firm position.
Rosalie met Neil , the love of her life, during a visit to El Paso,, starting her next adventure.  They married, established a home, and along came 2 precious gifts, Jennifer and Leanne. Rosalie and Neil guided  their girls and through their wisdom, you see the accomplished women before you today.  After Neil's untimely passing, Rosalie continued living in El Paso, watched from there as her girls married and along came the grandbabies! She was so very proud of her daughters and relished her visits to the Ft. Worth.
Among her many talents, Rosalie was the historian of the family with this uncanny capacity for documenting events for both the Jones and Cosgrove clans. As we all know, she also had the gift of gab with her whimsical stories, her inquisitive interest in every person making you feel special. She and I talked on the phone for hours at a time over the years and her interest in my life and mine always made me feel special.
My family and I so appreciated the visit to Kansas by Rosalie , JJ, and Leanne a few years ago. She and I had a thing: we kissed and hugged never saying goodbye. It was the last time I saw Rosalie but, she will forever be in my daily thoughts, actions and prayers until we meet again.


We share in this time of grief but also share in the love and memories of Rosalie. So many wonderful memories. We're so glad to have visited Rosalie in Spring 2013. We talked a lot about our good times together and had a great day with her. Already then it was sad and hard for us to say good bye not knowing if we would meet again.
Our friendship has been special all over the years. We met first in fall 1975 at Fabens at a German Oktoberfest and had the best time with Rosalie and Neil together with all the Jones family. From then on we had great get togethers and enjoyed our friendship. We miss Rosalie and also Neil, we're keeping them in our hearts forever.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jennifer, Leanne, their families and with all the Jones's.

I have known Rosalie eversince I was born. Our parents were very close friends. The first five years of my life I could spend it in the USA with them. I don't remember very much, but I do remember the great time we always had, especially as kids, at christmas time. A home far away from home.
Therefore I was very glad, that I could return so many years later. 2012 I had my military training in El Paso and my wife Marthe joined me. We visited Rosalie many times. We enjoied a lot having a dinner with her. Chili con queso, steak and of course cheese cake. Marthe loved her cooking. 
Again, so many years later, we could spend christmas together once more. With Rosalie and her daughters Jennifer and Leanne in 2012 at Cathy and Mac's place. It was wonderful. We will never forget that.
In 2016 we had another chance to see Rosalie, this time only once. Our stay was not very long this time. We had been very grateful to see her once again but feel sorry not to be able to show her our little son Jaron.  
We will miss her very much!
