Raul Salazar, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born August 26, 1947. Raul attended Bowie High School, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired as a Director of Engineering from a hospital in Downey, California. Raul was a beloved husband, dad, brother, grandpa, great-grandpa, father-in-law, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Lourdes Salazar and his brother, Antonio Salazar. Raul is survived by his children, Sylvia Monroy (Manuel Monroy), Anita Ruiz (Peter Ruiz), Norma Carpenter (Dr. Alan Carpenter), and Raul Salazar Jr (Norma J. Salazar). He was a beloved grandpa to his grandchildren, Jon, James, Chevy, Manny Jr., Brandon, Sean, Justin, Jessica, Peter Jr., Ruben, Kelly, Joel and Jacob, and to his great-grandchildren, Joaquin, Joel, Catalina, Mia, Maverick, Mildred, Aylin, and Eduardo. Siblings Joe, Armando, Arturo, Robert, Oscar, Maria, Bertha, Grace and Yoli.
Always loved and will forever be missed. Until we meet again dad.
A Visitation for Raul will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home-West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas. A Catholic Funeral service will occur Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas. A Committal Service will occur Friday, October 21, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas.
