Ramiro “Ramie” Gonzalez, born May 20, 1926 in Desert, New Mexico, went to be with our Heavenly Father on May 19, 2015, one day shy of his 89th birthday. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Ramie was an avid golfer and a loyal UTEP Miner and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a proud, loving dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Ramie is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalia, parents, Antonio and Soledad Gonzalez, and sister, Consuelo Salazar. He is survived by his six children: Gloria Krueger, Antonio Gonzalez, Irene Gonzalez, Norma Burciaga (David), Gil Gonzalez, and Yolanda Marin, two sisters: Gloria Telles (Gil) and Esperanza Yudico; grandchildren: Marc Krueger Gonzalez (Maryam), David Anthony Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez, Marisa Marin, Steven Burciaga, Eric Burciaga, Sarah Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Tre Gonzalez, and Antonio Ramiro Gonzalez, along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, May 25th at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 Carolina from 5-9pm, vigil at 7pm Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 26th at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church, 210 S. Clark Rd. at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
