Oscar Perez Salcedo

Oscar Perez Salcedo, 87, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and retired from ASARCO as a Boilermaker. He was preceded in death by his beloved Wife: Modesta Cortez Salcedo of 52 years, and Son: Gilberto Salcedo. Survived by his Brother: Roberto Salcedo, Sons: Oscar Salcedo (Alicia), Ricardo Salcedo (Monica), Javier Salcedo (Jenny), Ruben Salcedo (Norma); Daughters: Yolanda Salcedo, Delia Rivera (Ramon), Norma Flores (Bobby), and 20 Grandchildren, and 22 Great-Grandchildren. Oscar was an Aficionado a La Fiesta Brava (Bullfights). He will be remembered for his story telling and his entertainment with music and songs. His larger than life personality will be remembered through his family, and friends. He was the center of every family gathering and his presence will be greatly missed. Dad/Grandpa your memory is a keepsake…for which we will never forget…You belong to our Hearts Now and Forever… Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 5:00-9:00pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
