Norma lived her blessed life in El Paso, TX.
Cause of death- Cancer
She began as stardust, she leaves us having become a humble, servant of anyone who needed solace, caring..she was Angelic that way. Graceful in even her anger, though rare. And when angry, always just or for justice, a defender of anyone around her she was also fierce in her spirit. She was ALWAYS attempting to empower never compete with people.
Norma Angelica Garibay, daughter of Maria Luisa Garibay and Jose Garibay, she started her journey of awareness very young. Always connected to her God Self in thought, action, deed or word, always working on bettering herself.
She raised 3 amazing children, Arianna, True, and Dorian, with her beloved husband, Jesus H. Bustillos Jr.
She was a mother first and always, wife, business leader, community leader, spiritual aspirant, citizen of the world.
What came first to Norma was family and taking care of people. “We must create jobs!” She would say. Always thinking of ways to create opportunity for others.
She was the President of the Sathya Sai Baba Service Organization for more than 10 years. As a servant to the community and other spiritual aspirants, she sought to carry forward the message of her spiritual teacher and guide, the Avatar Sri Sathya Sai Baba, of Love. The motto “Love all Serve All” was commonplace in her life.
She led with service every day, helping people in the community of El Paso in the area of financial services, specific to health insurance. “We must take care of people”, she would say.
She led that way her entire life. She was a light entering the room and when she left you wanted to follow. She captivated people with her smile and her gentleness. She would pick up those less fortunate and buy them food or provide shelter, with little regard for her own safety.
She leaves us to serve in a higher mission. She is survived by her husband, her three children, her granddaughter, her brother Jose Garibay Jr., her mother, Maria Luisa Garibay.
