Munira Haddad Esper born on March 15, 1915 in Jawikhat, Syria to Barakat and Saada Haddad, left to be with our Lord on July 10, 2012. She was a resident of El Paso since 1972 when she immigrated from Syria. She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell Esper, two sons Jamil, Badih and son-in-law Kaissar Farah. She was a faithful and devowed Orthodox Christian, a loving wife for over 70 years, a wonderful mother to 8 children, an adoring grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, loving nephews, nieces and a great friend to many. Survived by her children Abdo Esper (Martha) of Monterrey, Mexico, Ward Esper (Nancy), Sami Esper (Antoinette), Ramsey Esper (Wafaa), Mahassen Salloum (Habib), Selma Farah of El Paso, daughter in law Habsey Salloum and family of Houston, Texas, and sister-in-law Selma Aboud.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Homes West. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 N. Festival, officiated by Rev. Fr. George M. Al-Dehneh, V. Rev. Fr. Jehad T. Michael and V. Rev. Fr. Robert Bethoney. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandchildren Mark Salloum, Andy Salloum, Danny Salloum, Sami Esper, Edmund Esper, George Farah, Eddie Farah, Milad Farah, Christopher Esper, Michael Esper. Honorary Pallbearers are Mitchell Abraham, Milad Farah, Mickey Esper, Ali Salami, Ibrahim Salloum, Bryan Haddad, Adib Dayoub, Tony Dayoub, Albert Dayoub, Dr. Hassan Salloum, Jean Marc Salloum.
