Marion William (Bill) Riley, 67, of El Paso, unexpectedly passed away in the early morning hours of May 31, 2024. Bill was born on October 23, 1956, in Greenwood, Mississippi to parents Rev. Marion S. Riley and Lola Belle Jones Riley. He attended Bel Air High School and the University of Texas at El Paso. Additionally, he received numerous certifications in Computer Systems Maintenance and Software Technology. At a young age, Bill was a manager for Radio Shack Corp. at locations throughout the Southwest. Later in life, he became self employed as a Computer Consultant specializing in Software and Computer Systems Maintenance.
At an early age Bill earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He was also known for his tremendous sense of humor, his ability to defeat family in card and board games, his love of puzzles, and his social media connections with people worldwide.
He is survived by his sisters, Elisabeth (Libby) Riley of El Paso and Bobbie Riley Greenawald of East Viera, Florida. Our sincere appreciation to his long-term healthcare provider, Elsa Howard, his many doctors, and the caring staff of Las Ventanas de Socorro.
A Memorial Service, officiated by life-long friend, Rev. David Morrison, will be held on Saturday, June 22nd beginning at 12:00 noon at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904.
