Maria de Los Angeles was born in Chihuahua on September 7, 1943. Maria would later marry the love of her life, Jose Sabino Reyna, on May 18, 1962. Maria had two wonderful and caring children Fernando and Teresa.
Maria (Geli), 79, was called to heaven on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Maria dedicated her life to serving our Lord as a valued church member at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church for close to 60 years. She served as a Minister of Communion for close to 19 years. Volunteered cleaning the church every Thursday for close to 26 years, volunteered preparing menudo and chili rellenos once a month for Knights of Columbus food sales after each Saturday and Sunday masses, volunteered preparing enchiladas at the annual enchilada fundraiser during lent, volunteered distributing food for Mother Teresa Food Pantry once a month. She was always willing to go above and beyond to serve the Lord. She was a wonderful cook and well known for her delicious menudo and chili rellenos. She loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, Documentaries, Dateline, and 48 hours. Maria had a kind heart and would assist anyone who needed help. Maria was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend.
Maria is preceded in death by her father and mother, Encarnacion and Josefina Sifuentes; sister, Emma Sandoval; brother, Jesus Armando Sifuentes.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 60 yrs. and 10 months, Jose S. Reyna; her loving son, Fernando (Carmen) Reyna, and loving daughter, Teresa (Jose) Reyna-Fernandez. She is also survived by her sister, Yolanda Jones; and brothers, Raymundo and David Sifuentes.

Visitation for Maria will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4805 Byron Street, El Paso, Texas 79930. Mass on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4805 Byron Street, El Paso, Texas 79930. Committal service will follow Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904.
