Our Beloved Mother, and Grandmother, Maria Elena Bolivar, 94, was called to Heaven on October 7, 2016. She was born on April 5, 1922 to Alberto Portillo and Librada Garcia. Maria Elena was preceded in death by Husband: Alfonso Bolivar, Children: Maria del Rosario Frias, Joaquin Bolivar. She is survived by Son: Luis A. Bolivar, Brother: Raul Portillo, 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Maria Elena Bolivar was a lifelong member of El Paso, Texas, and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest with a Vigil starting at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama Street at 9:30am with Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
