Manuel J. Talamantes Jr.

Manuel J. Talamantes Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday May 16, 2015 in the presence of his family. Born on December 15, 1954, Mr. Talamantes was a lifelong resident of El Paso. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Talamantes and Altagracia Jaquez. Mr. Talamantes is survived by his loving wife Lucy L. Ramirez, his sister Cecilia Saenz, sons: Manuel Talamantes III and Daniel Seanez, Stepsons : Andres (Gina) Montoya, Edmundo C. Montoya, Saul Ignacio (Amanda) Montoya, Miguel A. (Angie) Montoya and stepdaughters, Alicia (David) Herrera, Lucinda (Carlos) Diaz De La Vega and Ruby Imai and 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Talamantes graduated from Ysleta High School and dedicated his life to the trucking industry as a truck and bus driver, his most recent position was as a bus driver for Sun Metro in the City of El Paso. Mr. Talamantes enjoyed pool tournaments and had a reputation as an excellent pool player in the El Paso area and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. Pallbearers: Jorge Castro, Carlos Diaz de la Vega, David M. Herrera, Miguel A. Montoya, Saul I. Montoya and Joe Quintana. Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home with vigil at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30pm on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church.
