Manuel had a career in the gas and oil industry as retail manager of Chevron Service Station for many years. He had a passion for the great outdoors while hunting, fishing, gardening and enjoyed cooking and preparing delightful meals for family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carolina Carrasco; his four daughters: Nora Carrasco, Norma Gonzales (Tommy), Amanda Hernandez and Priscilla Hernandez (Hector); his son Rene Carrasco (Bertha); two brothers: Juan Carrasco (Manuela), Steve Carrasco (Christi); and three sisters: Elva Fernandez, Elia Wells, and Tina Zuniga (Stacio).
Manuel is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and preceded in death by his parents: Federico & Maria Carrasco.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, TX 79938. Mass of Christian Burial will also be celebrated on Monday at 12:30 pm, St. Mark Catholic Church followed by the 1:30 pm Rite of Committal service being held at Evergreen Cemetery East.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Hector Hernandez, Cody Hernandez, Ricardo Jimenez, Stacio Zuniga, Danny Chavez, and Jesus Piña.
