Born in El Paso, TX, she was the daughter of Piedad and
Roberto Vega. She was a 1981 graduate of Ysleta High School, where she continued to attain her Barber school certification. She served the El Paso community at the Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, where she held the position as a patient care technician.
She belonged to Corpus Christi Catholic Church community for 20+ years and also attended Sunday mass at Mother Cabrini. She fancied crocheting and was a member of Grupo Tejido for several years where she would take part in local fundraisers making blankets, crafting prizes, and learning new skills from her beloved group. She will be remembered for her laughter, positivity, caring, and loving heart.
She is survived by her husband Jesus Rodriguez Jr. whom she shared a strong marriage for over 36 years, her four beautiful daughters - Jessica Olivares, Sarah Ali, Amanda Perez, Britney Rodriguez, two grandbabies - Camila Olivares, and Giovanni Perez, and siblings- Roberto Vega, Arturo Vega,
Ricardo Vega, Francisco Vega, and Maria Teresa Villagomez. She
is now in Heaven with her siblings Guillermo Vega and Josephine Vega.
On Sunday, Oct. 17th, Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N Carolina Dr. El Paso TX, 79915, Viewing services will be held 4-8 pm, with a rosary to commence at 6 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 18th at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini 12200 Vista Del Sol Dr, El Paso, TX 79936 at 12:30 pm. The final resting place will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907 at 2:00 pm.
