First off, I want to offer my condolences to her family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

When I first met Dena I misjudged her feelings toward me as I thought she didn't care for me and she was quickly kind enough to put me at ease by explaining that it was not the case. I am grateful I was wrong as we became fast friends from that day. 

After that day we were constantly talking on the phone throughout the week and even on the weekend. She would even come by sometimes on the weekend to hang out for a bit in the morning/early afternoon with a very young Brandy. We spent practically every weekend going out to have fun whether it was get togethers at someone's house or a simple day of relaxation at someone's place or at clubs to just dance and enjoy ourselves. There was never a dull moment with her in my life. I can definitely say she was one of my favorite people to spend time with and am blessed I got to spend as much time with her as I did before moving out of TX. She has always held a special place in my heart and always will. 

My sincere condolences and prayers to the family. Dena was like a big sister always welcoming and looking out for us. She will be truly missed.  Even though,  her time here on earth was cut short, she has definitely made a lasting & loving impact on others. She has raised 3 beautiful & intelligent women who loved their mother & will carry out her legacy.  Dena you are truly missed & forever loved. Rest in paradise. 

I remember when I had my baby girl Alexis.  She looked just like her dad.    Dena use to call her Floydet.    Her dad’s name is Floyd.  

As an Aunt there are no words to express the sadness I feel at the loss of my 2nd eldest Neice....
    You know it’s something really special when you’re 11 years old and realize you’re an Auntie. ...Again!! From the first time I saw her little chubby face she stirred something in my heart that remains till this day.As D grew into a woman with children of her own our relationship never waiverd .As a vocalist myself if she knew I was going to be performing somewhere She never ceased to disappoint..Always there FRONT ROW with that beautiful smile and fabulous cheeks!
    A wonderful Daughter-Sister-Mother and Niece ..You will be missed

My sincerest condolences to the entire family. Dena will be missed. She was always a dear friend. I have countless memories of /with her. Sometimes we were out & about but most of my memories are doing simple things such as sitting around watching Lifetime movies with our kid's playing in the background at Felicia or Dena's house, cooking & playing spades.  I'm happy I had a chance to spend time with her & her family. Y'all are in my thoughts & prayers.
