Karen Rangel

In El Paso, there will be a viewing on Wednesday, May 4th from 5:00-7:00 pm and on Thursday May 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East Funeral Home, 12400 Montana East. The Mass of Christian Burial is on Thursday, May 5, at 12:30 pm at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd. Her interment follows at 2:00 pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Rd. The reception is at 3:00 pm at the Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East Funeral Home. Those attending, feel free to wear any shade of her favorite color blue.

Karen was born Kyoko Sumiyama on November 5, 1931, in Kyoto, Japan. She was married for 52 years to Leo Mendoza Rangel before he passed in 2004. She is survived by her three children Louis Rangel (Laurie), Deacon Steve Rangel (Linda), and Joan Ann Rolph, her six grandchildren, Stephen Rangel (Melissa), Charlotte Moseley (Justin), Angela Rangel (Susan), Breanna Rangel, Janessa Parra (Isachar), and Jonathon Rolph (Jamie), and nine great-grandchildren.
