Julia Elizabeth Alvarado passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Julia was born on November 21, 1974, to Felipe and Ludivina Alvarado in El Paso, Texas. After Julia graduated from Socorro High School in 1993, she went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at New Mexico State University.
Her intimate walk with God and the simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She loved to travel, finding hidden treasures in flea markets and had a passion to rescue and protect dogs. Her beautiful personality was contagious to everyone she met. She impacted families and children with her genuine love for them. Julia changed lives with her true passion as a Speech Therapist.
She is survived by her husband, Alfonso Neria; her brother, Joe Alvarado; sisters Socorro Molina, Elsa Alvarado, Rosalinda Ledesma, Sandra Alvarado, and Josie Alvarado; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Felipe de Jesus Alvarado; her mother, Ludivina Alvarado, and her brother Felipe Alvarado, Jr.
A service to remember Julia’s beautiful life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Missio Dei Church, 11601 Montwood Drive, El Paso TX 79936. Service begins at 9:30 a.m. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79938.
