Juan Flores

Juan Flores, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 91 years old.

Born in Guadalupe D.B. Chihuahua, Mexico, to Francisco and Merced Flores, Juan was a man of deep faith and unwavering dedication to his family. He married his sweetheart, Manuela Garcia, on October 25, 1961, in El Porvenir Chihuahua, Mexico. Together, they built a life filled with faith, love and laughter, raising five children: Ricardo, Francisco, Rodolfo, Israel, and Ruth.

In 1973, seeking a better future for his family, Juan bravely moved his family to El Paso, Texas. He was a hardworking man who labored tirelessly to provide for his loved ones, instilling in them the values of strength, courage, and dignity. A man of few words, Juan led by example, his actions and character speaking volumes. He was a shining example of hard work and integrity, qualities his children carry with them to this day.

Juan's faith in his Lord and Savior was the guiding light of his life. It was a source of strength and comfort through life's challenges and a legacy he passed on to his children.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his sons, Ricardo (Sylvia), Francisco (Irma), Rodolfo, and Rev. Israel (Jocabed); his daughter, Ruth (Robert Hernandez); his sisters, Maria (Ruben Martinez), Francisca (Pilo Peru), and Pilar (Leonel Amaro); 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Manuela; his parents, Francisco and Merced Flores; his brothers, Felix, Pedro, and Esteban Flores; and his sister, Lydia Arreola.

Though our hearts ache with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Juan is reunited with his beloved Manuela and other loved ones who have gone before him. His legacy of love, faith, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who visited, offered words of encouragement, and shared meals during this difficult time. Your prayers and support have been a source of strength, hope, and peace.

A visitation for Juan will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 E. Montana Ave., El Paso, TX 79938 with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Juan Flores.

Graveside funeral service will be at 9:00 AM on Friday, October 4th at Evergreen Cemetery East, also located at 12400 E. Montana Ave., El Paso, 79938.
